Warning: Don’t read this and listen to this if you just want a “get happy” message…
Go and make disciples of all nations… how?
The “pass it on pattern” is an attitude and action that every disciple must embrace to see Jesus’ great commission fulfilled through their lives. What God does in you is never just for you. Its through you to others. In this message I look at this pattern and some practical application of what it takes to “pass on the Gospel by which you are saved.” Here you will learn, amongst other things:
- Not to “leave it to the mamma’s”
- Don’t pass on the “cousin’s”…
- Don’t pass the banana…
- How to leave an inheritance for you children’s children.
- That Sodom and Gomorra were not husband and wife…
- What the true Gospel is…
Listen to the message here, and make yourself available to “pass it on.”
In the message I butchered the Jamaican accents in one of the illustrations, so below is a minute of June helping me with how do do Jamaican properly!
- I thank God, whom I serve, as my forefathers did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers.… 5 I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also. 2 Tim 1:3-5
- Prov 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children
- Judges 2:8-10 Judges 2:8-10 – After the Joshua generation had possessed the promised land, we read the following: 8 Now Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died when he was one hundred and ten years old. 9 …. 10 When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the Lord nor the work which He had done for Israel.
- 1 Corinthians 15:1-3 … I want to remind you of the gospel (the glad tidings of salvation) I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. 2 By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
