This morning a massive storm blew through London right during rush hour, causing major travel disruption. Our garden fence was blown over in part, and I saw multiple trees that had blown over into roads, and then there was this one…
Matt 7 v24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.
As a pastor, unfortunately I get to see too many lives being “blown over” when the storms of life hit, simply because they haven’t invested in building their lives on the rock through “hearing and doing”. many can’t “do” because they haven’t positioned themselves to “hear.” If you want to storm-proof your life, I recommend the following:
- Do the “One-2-One” book with someone – to understand the fundamentals of your faith walk.
- Do the “Purple Book” with someone, or on your own is ok too – to lay biblical foundations for your faith
- Enrol for our Every Nation London Bible School, now on in Stratford and Slough, and also in Hammersmith starting Monday 4 November – to grow in faith and fruitfulness. (Just go along to any of these locations, and see if this is just what you need in this season).
Nothing will ever guarantee us a storm-free life, but these here will certainly strengthen and storm-proof your life.
