This weekend Ali & I fly to Dublin for the 10 year anniversary celebration of our church plant there. What a challenge and joy its been over these years. Ali & I and the London church have done our best to loved and serve this church as if it were one of our own congregations. Here are a few pics which capture my memories, some of them very painful. Please let this be a catalyst to pray for all our church planters and church leaders out there. I’ve learnt that its one thing to send, but quite another thing to support and stand together through the tough times. But in the end: Joy! as Jesus builds His church!
Thank you to everyone who has prayed, given or gone to make this possible.
It was my honour to be in Dublin at the first pilot meeting – Temple Bar Hotel, after I think 8 hours waiting at Gatwick for the plane to be repaired, and arriving with a guitar that didn’t do so well on the journey…! I arrived with seconds to spare! Then a week on campus mission the following year, and later on in a beautiful Autumn, a weekend where among a few things, I preached my first church message… for so many reasons, the Dublin church is special place for me. You’ve been through much, and are still standing strong and shining. Have a great weekend of remembering, and looking forward. Love+blessing.
