The power of shared vision…

It was Ali’s birthday yesterday, and I came across this photo of us taking photo’s in Salzburg at the beginning of the year… A picture is worth a 1000 words, and below are some of the words that this picture reminds me of:

Ali & I taking photos in Salzburg...

  • To walk together with someone over the long haul, you must share a common vision of where you want to go… “How can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” (Amos 3v3)
  • It’s important to “capture” vision, because as you go through valleys you often can’t see the destination you originally set out for, until you get back onto a high place again… (Write the vision clearly... Habakkuk 2:4)
  • A shared vision is a powerful vision. There is power in agreement. When one forgets, the other can remind you… (We often have reminded each other, and in the few times when we both forgot, The Lord always sent someone else to remind us!)
  • It’s not good to be alone… friends, spouses, fellow believers, church are all GOOD! (Don’t let sin separate you – offence, bitterness, judgement, gossiping, jealousy, unforgiveness – yes, these are all SIN, so repent…)
  • Life is simply more fun done together…
