Here at Every Nation London Hammersmith we are in the middle of a summer season of taking a break from all of our regular meetings routine, and responding to what we sensed the Lord calling us to, which is simply from Luke 24v49 where He instructed His disciples, saying: “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but wait/ tarry/stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
In response they were found in Acts 2V1 “all together in one place in one accord”, and then they were “all filled”, and were empowered to fulfil the mission to which He had called them, which was “to make disciples of all nations.”
So we are “waiting” together here every Wednesday evening (join us!) through to the end of August. These have been special times of intimacy with God, of the gifts of the Holy Spirit ministry, repentance, of freedom growing, etc – a real “times of refreshing in the presence of the Lord” (Acts 3:19)
Here’s a thought: we often miss so much because we are so busy and living so fast, and also because we are so focussed on the immediate, that we miss seeing the bigger picture of Gods hand working His preparation, Positioning, and Empowering (see message here) that He is working out in and through our lives.
