The Way of Wisdom

This past Sundays messages at our Every Nation London congregations were from James 1 verses 5-8: If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

This passage reminds us that wisdom is something to be sought. We need it, and we can get it in abundance from God who is the source of all wisdom.  In the context of the message of James, this wisdom is about ACTIVATING the believer into God-glorifying works – if you are stuck or paralysed by doubt, unbelief or double-mindedness, then ask God for wisdom to lead you through trials, past temptations, and into ACTION. Whatever you get, get the “from above” variety of wisdom!  You can listen to my “The Way of Wisdom” message online here

Colossians 1:9   For this reason…  we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.

  1. Hi Pastor Wolfi,

Great comments on wisdom. Something that we continually need to seek and ask for.

I will be in London Friday Apr 16th and would love to meet with you in regards to our NGO Hopethiopia as well as seek some wisdom from your communications team.

Best wishes from pastor Brant in Calgary.
