Wolfi’s View of…the Virginia Tech shooting

My condolences go out to the families, friends, and the community of Virginia Tech shooting victims.  Its a very sad tragedy.  There are no easy answers, but there are many questions that society and its leaders need to consider, and there is always a promise: “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” (Jesus, Matthew 5). We see so much tragedy on the news, and soon move onto the next latest news item. Lets remember that each person killed or maimed or kidnapped or raped or etc… has a family and friends who have to live with the loss for the rest of their lives. Two weeks ago I had the privilege of visiting the home of a family in London whose son was stabbed to death in a local street here recently. The reality of meeting a single mother mourning the loss of an amazing young son reminded me that there are real people needing real people to make it through the real world. And they need hope amidst hopelessness. May the God of hope fill them…
